Dr. Chin Cheow Keat Dr. Chin Cheow Keat holds a PhD in Food Science from the National University of Malaysia. He is currently the Deputy Director for Standard and Codex in MoH responsible for updating, revising and promulgating food legislation and planning and coordinating activities on Codex. Aside from this position, he is the Head of Secretariat for ASEAN Risk Assessment Center for Food Safety (ARAC). He joined the Malaysian government service in 1990 and has been working in the area of food safety since. |
Dr. Htoon Lynn Aung Dr. Htoon Lynn Aung is a Deputy Director of Planning & Inspection Division of DFDA Myanmar. His qualifications are M.B.,B.S and M.Med.Sc (Public Health). He spent his life as Demonstrator, Assistant Lecture and Lecture at University of Medicine, Mandalay & University of Community Health, Magway. He has started work as Assistant Director in DFDA at 12.6.2015. Now he is Deputy Director and also Officer in-charge of Naypyitaw Region. |
Dr. Sridhar Dharmapuri Sridhar Dharmapuri is the Senior Food Safety and Nutrition Officer at the FAO Regional Office for the Asia-Pacific in Bangkok. He is leading FAO’s regional programme with strong emphasis on strengthening core elements of national food control systems and enhancing standards for trade through safe value chains. Supporting nutrition sensitive agriculture and food systems for healthy diets is a key aspect of his nutrition portfolio. He has a Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India and a MBA from Kansas University, USA. |
Mr. Adhi Lukman Recognized internationally as an authority on the food industry, Mr. Lukman is the current Chairman of GAPMMI. In 2016, he was elected as President of the ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance (AFBA). In addition, Adhi Lukman works with several organizations, as Chairman of Permanent Committee for Development of Primary Agricultural Industry, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KADIN); Secretary of the Promotion Committee for Indonesia’s National Productivity Board (LPN); Member of Expert Working Group of National Food Security Council (DKP), Member of the national committee of Codex Indonesia. |
Ms. Zailina Abdul Majid Ms Zailina Abdul Majid holds an MSc in Food Science from the National University of Malaysia. She joined MoH in 2000 as a food analyst at the National Public Health Laboratory. She had been attached to various JICA experts in the field of drug residue analysis and laboratory quality assurance programme. Presently is at the Food Safety and Quality Division at MoH and responsible for issues on Codex, WTO and on regional issues pertaining to ASEAN, among others. |
Mr. Richard Whitehead Richard Whitehead has been reporting on the Asia-Pacific food, beverage and nutrition industry as senior editor for FoodNavigator-Asia since 2012. Mr. Songkhla Chulakasian Mr. Songkhla Chulakasian has been working at the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), Thailand as Veterinary Officer since 2005. He received a D.V.M degree from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. Prior to joining FIA, Teresa served as an in-house regulatory specialist with KH Roberts Pte Ltd, focusing on the use of flavourings and additives in key Southeast Asian markets. |
