Dr. Chin Cheow Keat
Deputy Director
Food Safety & Quality Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia  

Dr. Chin Cheow Keat holds a PhD in Food Science from the National University of Malaysia. He is currently the Deputy Director for Standard and Codex in MoH responsible for updating, revising and promulgating food legislation and planning and coordinating activities on Codex. Aside from this position, he is the Head of Secretariat for ASEAN Risk Assessment Center for Food Safety (ARAC). He joined the Malaysian government service in 1990 and has been working in the area of food safety since. 

Dr. Htoon Lynn Aung
Deputy Director of Planning & Inspection Division
Department of Food and Drug Administration (DFDA), Myanmar

Dr. Htoon Lynn Aung is a Deputy Director of Planning & Inspection Division of DFDA Myanmar. His qualifications are M.B.,B.S and M.Med.Sc (Public Health). He spent his life as Demonstrator, Assistant Lecture and Lecture at University of Medicine, Mandalay & University of Community Health, Magway. He has started work as Assistant Director in DFDA at 12.6.2015. Now he is Deputy Director and also Officer in-charge of Naypyitaw Region.

Dr. Sridhar Dharmapuri
Senior Food Safety and Nutrition Officer
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Office for the Asia-Pacific

Sridhar Dharmapuri is the Senior Food Safety and Nutrition Officer at the FAO Regional Office for the Asia-Pacific in Bangkok. He is leading FAO’s regional programme with strong emphasis on strengthening core elements of national food control systems and enhancing standards for trade through safe value chains. Supporting nutrition sensitive agriculture and food systems for healthy diets is a key aspect of his nutrition portfolio. He has a Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India and a MBA from Kansas University, USA. 

Mr. Adhi Lukman
Indonesian Food & Beverages Association (GAPMMI)

Recognized internationally as an authority on the food industry, Mr. Lukman is the current Chairman of GAPMMI. In 2016, he was elected as President of the ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance (AFBA). In addition, Adhi Lukman works with several organizations, as Chairman of Permanent Committee for Development of Primary Agricultural Industry, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KADIN); Secretary of the Promotion Committee for Indonesia’s National Productivity Board (LPN); Member of Expert Working Group of National Food Security Council (DKP), Member of the national committee of Codex Indonesia.

Ms. Zailina Abdul Majid
Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Food Safety and Quality Division
Ministry of Health, Malaysia

Ms Zailina Abdul Majid holds an MSc in Food Science from the National University of Malaysia. She joined MoH in 2000 as a food analyst at the National Public Health Laboratory. She had been attached to various JICA experts in the field of drug residue analysis and laboratory quality assurance programme. Presently is at the Food Safety and Quality Division at MoH and responsible for issues on Codex, WTO and on regional issues pertaining to ASEAN, among others.

Mr. Richard Whitehead
Food Navigator - Asia

Richard Whitehead has been reporting on the Asia-Pacific food, beverage and nutrition industry as senior editor for FoodNavigator-Asia since 2012. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he now combines his work for the news service with his own freelance marketing and PR services for the food industry.

Mr. Songkhla Chulakasian
Veterinary Officer
National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), Thailand

Mr. Songkhla Chulakasian has been working at the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), Thailand as Veterinary Officer since 2005. He received a D.V.M degree from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. He has been assigned to be the secretariat of national subcommittee on ASEAN food safety standards under Prepared Foodstuff Product Working Group (PFPWG) and ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Livestock (ASWGL).

Ms. Charlotte Vilstrup
DVM and the Head of Division for Food and Feed Safety
Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA), Denmark

Charlotte Vilstrup is working for the DVFA since September this year. Prior to this position she was Head of Division for Animal Welfare and Veterinary Medicine also in the DVFA. Its mission is to promote safety, health and quality from farm to table. To do so, the entire evolution of foodstuffs must be followed starting with animal births, through the food processing enterprises to the consumer's table. Charlotte Vilstrup has experience in working with regulation of all aspects of food safety as well with other relevant stakeholders in an One Health approach.

Ms. Eneng Faridah Iskandar
Senior Director, Advocacy and Outreach
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)

As Senior Director, Advocacy and Outreach with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), her responsibilities include developing strategies and programmes for the purpose of educating the public to participate effectively and responsibly in the communications and multimedia environment. This includes the newly launched fact-check portal that has attracted over 13 million visitors since its launch in March 2017 and promoting internet safety and security through the “Klik dengan Bijak” (or Click Wisely) Programme, reaching millions of Malaysian users.
Ms. Fatimah Sulong
Senior Principal Assistant Director
Nutrition Division, Ministry of Health, Malaysia

Ms. Fatimah Sulong is currently leading the Industry Collaboration Sector in Nutrition Division, working on programmes related to healthier products, food services and code of ethics for the marketing of infant products.

Previously, she served Negeri Sembilan State Health Department and worked with Food Safety and Quality Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Ms. Jiraratana Thesasilpa
Senior Professional Food and Drug Technical Officer
The Bureau of Food, Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand

Ms. Jiraratana Thesasilpa is a Food and Drug Technical officer, Senior Professional level under The Bureau of Food, Thai Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Public Health. She is currently responsible for the food safety technical standard establishing such as food additives, contaminants in food and others food safety standards and also participates in the international standard meeting such as Codex Meeting and ASEAN meeting. She received Master Degree in Tropical Medicinal major in Tropical Nutrition and Food Science from Mahidol University.

Ms. Megawati Suzari
Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (MAFMAG), Malaysia

Ms. Megawati has more than 20 years of working experiences in food industry with well-known multinational companies. Graduated from University of Wollongong, Australia and received Honorary MSc from University Putra Malaysia.  She leads the new product development for Malaysia and Asia countries in her current role. Her extensive experiences in dairy product development from concept to commercialisation of specialised nutrition products provide her good technical insight into food safety assessment, regulatory compliances and has strong technical capability in different processing technology.

Ms. Metanee Sukontarug
National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) Thailand

Metanee Sukontarug is an advisor at National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) Thailand, with more than 30 years experience in the multiple sectors of food safety standards nationally and internationally. She was designated as Director General of Department of Agricultures and ACFS, in year 2007 and 2008, respectively. For ASEAN work, she has been assigned as Co-Chair of Prepared Foodstuff Product Working Group (PFPWG), under the ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) since 2008.

Ms. Noraini Dato’ Mohd Othman

Food Safety & Quality, Ministry of Health, Malaysia

Ms. Noraini holds a Master in Public Health from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, USA. She joined the government service in 1982 and has been working extensively in the area of food safety. She continues to be vastly involved in food safety and has contributed significantly to food safety at the national, regional and international levels. She has served as the Vice-Chairperson of the Codex Alimentarius Commission for 3 terms and is currently the Chairperson of the Codex Committee for Fats and Oils.

Ms. Pauline Chan
Director, Scientific Programs
International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) Southeast Asia Region

ILSI is a global non-profit organization aiming to improve public health within nutrition and food safety. Ms. Chan helps develop scientific programs and facilitates dialogue between scientists, government officials and industry to address issues in nutrition, food safety and health. A registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Ms. Chan received her B.S. in Chemistry from the University of HK, and her M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from NYU. She is also currently the VP of Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association.

Ms. Teresa Lo
ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance, (AFBA)

Teresa manages FIA’s workstream on the harmonisation of food trade standards, through the monitoring of regulatory developments on topics such as halal standards and import/export certification systems, and the facilitation of relevant research projects and agendas. She leads the ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance (AFBA), a network of food & beverage national associations in Southeast Asia. Prior to joining FIA, Teresa served as an in-house regulatory specialist with KH Roberts Pte Ltd, focusing on the use of flavourings and additives in key Southeast Asian markets.

Mr. Tim Fernandez

Ms. Viengxay Vansilalom

Ms. Vansilalom’ responsibilities include food safety legislation development, food businesses registration, and food safety quality assurance system promotion. She is also the secretariat of the Codex Contact Point, Lao National Codex Committee, and a member of the ASEAN Consultative Committee ACCSQ, Prepared Food Stuff Working Group, Vice Chair of the ASEAN Harmonization Standard Working Group, and Chair of the Technical Working Group of Agriculture and Food Standards. She obtained her Master of Food Chemistry in Russia and graduate qualification in Food Safety Quality Assurance in Germany.

Ms. YiFan Jiang
Head of Science & Regulatory Affairs
Food Industry Asia (FIA)

Ms. Jiang leads FIA in providing science based advocacy to promote regional / global regulatory harmonisation in platforms such as the Codex Alimentarius Commission and ASEAN. She also represents FIA in regional food safety capacity building programmes through PPP initiatives. Previously, YiFan was working with a global regulatory consulting firm EAS Strategies and International Alliance of Dietary / Food Supplement Associations (IADSA). She holds a degree in Applied Science majoring in Food Science and Technology from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Daniel Pans

Daniel Pans is the founder and Group CEO of DPO International, a specialised food distribution company that takes great pride in the ability to provide ‘total solutions & services for the Asian Food Supply Chain’.  Daniel is also Vice-President of the Malaysia-Belgium-Luxembourg Business Council (MBLBC), Director of the EU-Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI) and the inspiration behind the Young Malaysians Go Classic (YMGC). He also developed the framework of the EU-ASEAN Forum on Food Safety, now in its 4th year running.

Mr. Ho Khek Hua

Ministry of Transport Malaysia

Mr. Ho Khek Hua served as Director of National Integration Research & Training Institute (IKLIN), Department of National Unity and Integration, Prime Minister Department, Malaysia, as well as Deputy Director General (National Harmony). He was senior trainer in Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara (INTAN).

He obtained B. Econ. (Hons) University Malaya and MSC in Distribution Logistics, Cranfield University, U.K.. His experience includes: policies and planning in national unity and integration, managing unity, religious relation in Malaysia and public finance and procurement training.

Ms. Aniadila Kamaruddin
Research Officer

A former botanist who has 12 years experienced in corporate communication, event management, public relation and strategic planning. Throughout the years, she managed to do multi-tasking job and succeed with multiple projects that aid to improve MARDI’s corporate branding and image.

Based on the breadth of her experience, she was appointed to lead a Corporate social responsibility (CSR) based program for MARDI. Her passion in CSR project has become a new challenge for her to make it possible and success.

Mr. Raymond de Graaf

He has been Director and Co-founder of prestigious temperature-controlled logistics companies in Europe as well as an independent Cold Chain Consultant in Asia. He has experience in North- and South-America, Australia and the UAE, in addition to Europe and Asia. In Asia alone, he was involved in the establishment of 250,000++ pallet positions with accumulated workforce of 2,000 employees and USD 200++ million annual turn-over.

Mr. Eu Jin

Eu Jin is the Chief Marketing Officer for PKT Group.  He has more than 20 years of work experience in the fields of Business Development, Logistics Operations, Fleet Maintenance and Corporate Planning.  He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia. After serving companies such as Park May, FedEx, Northern Corridor Implementation Authority and DHL, he joined PKT in June 2015 and is tasked with leading PKT’s diversification plans.
